For the past 3 weeks at our scout meetings we have been going down to the
Flimwell woods.
Last week went down to play a wide game with the explorers.
1. We arrived at 7pm and walked down to the bottom of the woods
2. Waited for every one to arrive and then we had to get into teams of 4 and
run round part of the wood to find questions to answers (which were about
very random TV programmes)
3. You had to answer 3 questions correctly before getting a piece of grey
pipe.
4. Once getting 3 answers correct we had to some how use twigs to hold the
pipe up vertically.
5. The pipe then had to be tested to make sure it wasn't going to fall down
(by Tony who shook the pipe to make sure that it did fall down!)
6. We then were given a rocket to put in the pipe and then set it alight.
7. Whilst we were doing this the explorers were light a camp fire and
filling up water balloons
8. We then played a wide game with the explorers we were split into 2 teams.
Team 1– 2 of the explorers and all of the girls. Team 2– 3 explorers and all
of the boys.
9. We had to find a base in the wood and then once the whistle was blown we
had to go and get as many water balloons and then hide them from Team 2.
10. THE GIRLS TEAM ONE! It just shows that girls are so much better than the
boys
11. We had a hot drink and then walked up to the top of the wood again
12. On the way to the top Hannah and Callum got lot so just as we were
approaching the top Tony had one rocket left so he stuck it in the ground
and set it alight and within second, Hannah and Callum appeared from no
where.
