The Practices
Practice 1-Thursday 6th November 2008 We read the whole script with people just reading random parts.
Practice 2 - Thursday 13th November 2008 We got in a circle and Paul told us which characters we were going to be then we rehearsed some parts of the script.
Practice 3 - Thursday 27th November 2008 Brian Sadd the District Commissioner for Ashdown watched us practice some of the play then he presented many badges including the Chief Scout Gold Awards. We hope he enjoyed his time with us.
Practice 4 - Saturday 29th November 2008 After selling stamps in the village square we went to the scout hut for another practice. This went well even though there were not many of us. Hopefully there will be more of us next week so we can have a proper run through.
Practice 5 - Thursday 4th December 2008 We rehearsed the whole play without our scripts but it kinda did not work as a few people had not learned there lines! We did our best and it was beginning to come to a play!
Practice 6 - Saturday 6th December 2008 After selling stamps in the village square again we went to the scout hut again for another practice. This rehearsal did better as a few more people turned up but not everyone.
Practice 7 - Thursday 11th December 2008 We rehearsed the whole play up to scene 5 (including scene 5). That went really well as we did not rush to try and do the whole script.
Practice 8 - Saturday 13th December 2008 Hannah, Callum and Sophie (me) went to the practice patrol leaders camp while Fraser, Paul, Carl, a couple of cubs and Sharon continued selling stamps. Afterwards Paul and Fraser went to the scout hut to learn Frasers lines together and I have no idea if it was successful.
Full Dress rehearsal at Uplands -Wednesday 17th December 2008 All the scouts, cubs and beavers arrived and we rehearsed all together as we had never done a proper rehearsal with everyone. It went well and we go up to scene 5 (including scene 5) again.
Practice 10 - Thursday 18th December 2008 We rehearsed everything from scene 6 onwards as we had done a lot for work on scenes 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. We had completed it to the end and now everyone was ready for the big night. It was also Callum 13th Birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY CALLUM!
