Wednesday: We had an early start to Dungeon Gill by catching 2 public buses there. We walked up a massive hill until we thought of a good idea of climbing up a waterfall. Tony made all the ropes ready for everyone to climb. The waterfall was 60 foot high and was slippery. As we carried walking up the hill we were so high we were going above clouds. The views were so pretty! At that point it was time to climb back down as we wouldn't want to miss the bus!
Thursday: We hired biked for as long as we wanted and everyone the bikes were Brill. Altogether that day we cycled 20 miles and even caught a ferry over to the other side of the lake. There were a lot of hills and some were quite thought but amazingly some people completed it without stopping!
Friday: We went on a really fun activity it was like go ape except you go on a zip wire and also you had to jump and grab onto a trapezium. We also did a cooking competition girls v boys and there were no winners as none of us could cook. The girls made rice mixed with peas and sweet corn with kebabs with a coke drink and cake as pudding and the boys made noodles and chicken. Also that day it was Frasers 11th Birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY FRASER!!
Saturday: Here was the day everyone dreaded as we had to travel by so many transports. We had to get up at 5:30am as our minibus from the scout camp left at 8:30. we caught a coach from Windermere bus station to Victoria bus station in London and it felt like it took for ever. From Victoria the coach took us all the way to the Royal Oak in Flimwell. On the bus we sang so much I think half the public was fed up with our singing! Oh dear.
EVERYONE HAD SUCH A GREAT TIME! THANK YOU TONY AND SHARON FOR SUCH A GREAT CAMP! |
